This season has been very successful for Nicolas Grönlund.
In the UCI 1.1 category competitions, he finished second in Mosselronde-Gouden Garnaal and eighth in Omloop van Borsele (The Netherlands) and third on stage 2 of the Watersley Junior Challenge Nations Cup.
Tomorrow, on Saturday, one ought follow closely the World Championships in Glasgow, as Nicolas will be lined at the start of the Men Junior class road race.
"We just rode the World Cup route. During one lap there are 51 bends and quite a few short but steep hills. So a 130km race alltogether. Placement is really important if you want to get some results," said Nicolas on Thursday evening .

Another Finn, Kasper Borremans, will take part in the same race.
In the Men Junior class, there are nine laps on the Glasgow city circuit. The route is technical and there are really short but sharp climbs. For example, the 200-meter section of Montrose Street has an average gradient of almost 11%, and is one of the likely places to launch an attack.
