Junior cycling school

CCH offers 8-12 year olds the opportunity to develop their cycling skills, get to know new cycling sports, and get to know other people of the same age who are interested in cycling. In short: the purpose is to have fun while cycling - guided, together and with safe riding in mind.

Our club organizes a six-week cycling school on Sundays from 10 a.m. in August-September. The duration of guided meetings varies slightly, from two to three hours. Due to the nature of the Luukki MTB/XCM event, Sun 3 September 2023 is exceptionally a bit longer, around 10-14. 

In this school, you will learn new things from group riding and track cycling to mountain biking and camping in Keskuspuisto. Depending on the interest of the participants, we also go through a little bike maintenance at one of the velodrome times.

The participant must have their own bike, cycling helmet, drinking bottle and outdoor clothes and gloves suitable for the weather. Guided training will be organized regardless of the weather (unless there is a thunderstorm or heavy rain). The program may change depending on the weather.  You can also take your own small snacks and a dry change of shirt with you for each time. The instructor carries first aid supplies and light bike repair equipment.

The main instructor is CCH's own 17-year-old top cyclist Arttu Stammeier. At all meetings, there is also another instructor who is an adult representative of the club.

The six-time cycling school costs 60 € (CCH members 50 €), and it includes all guided meetings, the participation of Luukki MTB on 3.9. and small snacks for the last excursion cycling.
